· Must be operated with the dedicated snowflake wrench to protect the screws and leather surface.
· During assembly, align the holes on the leather with the correct screw length, referencing the screw numbers in the assembly video.
· Tighten the screws fully until they lightly grip the leather. If encountering difficulty in screwing, remove the nut, check for any leather debris on the threads, remove it, and then retighten.
· While screws can be reused, the special anti-loosening coating on their surface will gradually diminish with each assembly, eventually leading to ineffectiveness. Hence, it is advised not to frequently disassemble the screws.
· No lubricating oil or lubricant is needed for the screws, as this may cause the anti-loosening coating to lose effectiveness.
· The dedicated snowflake wrench is designed to save energy, provide appropriate torque, and has a soft surface to protect screws and leather during assembly.
· The wrench has gray and black soft interface layers on both sides, corresponding to different types of screws. Follow the gray/black indications in the assembly video to choose the correct side for the best assembly experience.
· It is recommended to assemble the product at a normal indoor temperature (15 to 40 degrees Celsius).
· Before folding the leather, use the water pen to moisten the back of the leather along the cutting path (see note*). This enhances the flexibility of the leather at that area, facilitating shaping and protecting the leather fibers.
· Fill the pen body with clear water and secure it to the pen head by twisting. During the water application process, gently squeeze the pen body to maintain a steady, minimal water flow. Once the cutting path on the leather has received uniform and sufficient moisture, you can begin folding the leather.
· If moisture gradually evaporates during the folding process (leather color fully recovers), you can use the water pen to replenish moisture as needed.
· After folding the leather and securing it with screws, allow the finished product to air-dry in a well-ventilated area. This allows the moisture in the cutting path to naturally evaporate, and the color, which may have darkened due to dampness, will gradually return to its original shade.
· Do not use liquids other than clear water, as this may prevent the leather from naturally recovering its color or alter the characteristics of the leather.
* Note:
The cutting path refers to a continuous and repeatedly interwoven perforation forming a path. The cutting path is a patented design that avoids damaging the leather while providing assistance in bending.
· Used to absorb residual carbon powder from the cut edges during assembly.
· Remove the outer rubber layer and film before use.
· When folding the leather, use the eraser to gently tap and press along the cut edges to easily remove any remaining carbon powder.
· If eraser residue is left on the leather surface, use tapping and pressing to clear it, avoiding rubbing on the leather.
· If the eraser surface accumulates too much carbon powder, knead the eraser to restore its absorbing ability.
· Keep the carbon rubber eraser for future use in cleaning leather surfaces.
·Smoll products select natural vegetable-tanned leather, the most eco-friendly and original type of leather. The product’s color would gradually darken and appear polished during use. Under the premise of not affecting the product’s structure and function, respecting and presenting the natural appearance of leather has been and will always be the unwavering belief of Smoll.
·Leather repairing oil could be used for routine maintenance or minor scratches. Please remove stains and dust with soft brushes or a dry piece of cloth before applying the oil.
·Leather products are vulnerable to scratches, rain, oil stains, and strong chemicals like acids and bases; do not soak it in water and wash it.
·Moldiness is usually caused by environmental factors, frequently exposed in fresh air could prevent mold nourishment. If molds are seen, you can remove the mold with a clean piece of cloth then place the product at a well ventilated location.
·If the leather product has been exposed to the rain, use a piece of dry cloth to absorb the water and remove everything stored within the product to avoid the weight causing deformation. Place it at a well ventilated location and let it dry on its own. Avoid direct exposure to the Sun and heating sources like hair dryer, clothes dryer, or electric heater. After water has evaporated from the product, the lighter color will be regained.
·There is special paint at the tip of the screws that decreases the probability of screws getting loose.
·Though reusable, the effect of the paint will decline every time unscrewed.
·We do not recommend unscrewing regularly since the functionality of the anti-loose paint on the tip of the screws could eventually lose its effect. Because the screws are considered consumables, the screws are not warranted and is not repairable or recyclable by our company. If the paint on the screws has lost its functionality, you could order a new pair of screws from our company.
·We do not recommend using lubricating oil on our provided screws since it could neutralize the effect of the anti-loose paint.
·The screws are made of very stable stainless steel 18/8 and is resistant to acids and bases. Wipe it with a clean piece of cloth if stained, and avoid the leather part if using a piece of wet cloth.
